CSFI to set up FC Bayern First Full-time Football School in Shenzhen



FC Bayern Munich (FCB) have held a joint press conference with Shenzhen government at the Allianz Arena on the afternoon of March 30, 2017, officially announcing the establishment of the FC Bayern Football School Shenzhen, their first full-time football school.


The FC Bayern Football School is committed to engaging the local football community and providing youth training philosophy and methodology to coaches and players in Shenzhen. The FC Bayern Football School in Shenzhen aims to bring FC Bayern’s youth development knowledge and expertise together to local coaches and teachers and players to become the first complex for sports, cultural activities and entertainment in Southeast China, and more importantly, a world – class sports park for football training.

 

Mr. Jörg Wacker, Board member for internationalization and strategy of FC Bayern Munich, President of Shenzhen Investment Holdings Limited Mr. Wang Yongjian, chairman of China Sports Futurity International Limited Mr. Wang Jianguang have signed the agreements, officially announcing the establishment of the FC Bayern Football School Shenzhen. Guests of honor presented at the ceremony on invitation are Consul general of Consulate General of People’s Republic of China in Munich Mrs. Mao Jingqiu, deputy director of the State – owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission in Shenzhen Mr. Hu Guobin, representative from the General Office of Shenzhen municipal government Mr. Liu Yequan, associate counsel of Shenzhen Education Bureau Mr. Lai Qunyang, director of Football Management Center Culture of Shenzhen Sports and Tourism Bureau and secretary general of Shenzhen Football Association Mr. Zhaoliang, member from standing committee of Longgang District in Shenzhen and administrative deputy head of Longgang District Mr. Yangjun, Chairman of Shenzhen Shentou Education Limited Mr. Zhen Juwu, and general manager of China Sports Futurity International Limited Mr. Guo Xiaowei.

Mr. Jörg Wacker, Board Member for Internationalization and Strategy at FC Bayern Munich, said: „Our goal is clearly stated. The FC Bayern Football School Shenzhen is a strong statement to affirm and implement our international strategy in China.”


FC Bayern Ambassador, Mr. Hasan “Brazzo” Salihamidžić added: „We are proud to officially announce the FC Bayern Football School Shenzhen Chinese soccer has a huge potential and we want to contribute and thus to expedite the evolution of Chinese soccer by sharing our knowledge and experience.”

The FC Bayern Football School Shenzhen will be located in downtown Shenzhen Longgang district. When the construction is completed, the site will consist of 6 11 – man football fields, 10 5 – man football fields, 4 indoor 5 – man football fields. The multi – purpose sports arena will also include a fitness training center, a football technique and tactics seminar room, a nutrition rehabilitation center, an area for fans and fanclubs, a FC Bayern museum and a high – tech football training ground. The FC Bayern Football School will be the next step in commitment to grassroots initiatives in China. The FC Bayern Football School Shenzhen is taken the step in its commitment to engage Shenzhen and China footbal community, with the goal of improving professional football players’ competence, educating football players and service personnel in related industries. With the integrated resources of massive health and sport industries in Longgang district, and German football culture, the FC Bayern Football School will eventually grow into a world-famous youth football training school for its unique education system.

Strategic Background (China – Germany to build an international youth academy)

The year 2017, 45 years since the establishment of diplomatic ties, has witnessed sound development of China – Germany comprehensive strategic partnership. In November 2016, when attending China – Germany Football Development Symposium, Vice Premier Liu Yandong said that Germany enjoys a long – standing football culture with a sophisticated youth training system and advanced experience. She also hoped that China and Germany would build a stable and sustained strategic cooperation partnership in football, advance exchanges between both national teams and professional football clubs. After the symposium, Chancellor Angela Merkel and Vice Premier Liu Yandong signed cooperation documents at three levels including government, football association and campus football.


Under such circumstances, in September 2016, Secretary of Shenzhen municipal government Xuqin, during a meeting with Chairman of executive board Chairman of FC Bayern, Mr. Karl-Heinz Rummenigge in China – German economic and trade negotiations, has reached a consensus to introduce FC Bayern’s youth training system in Shenzhen. The establishment of the FC Bayern Football School Shenzhen is launched by Shenzhen State – owned Assets Supervision and Administration Association, organized by Shenzhen Investment Holdings Limited, listed as a key project and fully supported by Shenzhen Municipal Government. Shenzhen Shentou Education Limited, a subsidiary company of Shenzhen Investment Holdings Limited has joined with China Sports Futurity Investment Limited to form China – Germany Sports Investment Limited (Shenzhen), responsible for the construction, development and subsequent operation of the FC Bayern Football School Shenzhen. Firstly, the introduction of FC Bayern’s youth training system to Shenzhen, working as a key initiative to implement national strategy, has far – flung significance, bringing benefits to friendly exchanges of both countries and the implementation of Belt and Road Initiative. Secondly, it is also an important channel to demonstrate Shenzhen as an international metropolis and strengthen Shenzhen’s position and recognition all around the globe. Thirdly, it answers the call of the government for Shentou Investment to develop football industry, proactively facilitates the implementation of supply side reform. More importantly, it serves as a layout for SOEs in Shenzhen to enter high – end services and emerging industries.



Strategic Layout (multi – parties to outline the vision for the future of China football)

Deputy director of the State – owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission in Shenzhen Hu Guobin, in his speech at the ceremony, thanked FC Bayern for choosing Shenzhen as home for the first full – time FC Bayern Football School. He said that the establishment of the FC Bayern Football School Shenzhen is a key initiative and an epoch – making event in China’s comprehensive national strategy to promote China – Germany friendly exchanges and interaction. In the meantime, he hoped that the establishment of the FC Bayern Football School will make it possible for Shenzhen to fully cooperate with German business communities, making helpful exploitations for subsequent comprehensive cooperation in vocational education, industrial investment, sports and science.



China Sports Futurity Investment (CSFI) Limited is one of the operating agencies of the FC Bayern Football School Shenzhen. Its general manager said that CSFI is an investment company with international outlook. Bringing FC Bayern’s world-famous youth training system and FC Bayern football culture to Shenzhen, CSFI, together with Shenzhen municipal government and FC Bayern is fully committed to the infrastructure for youth football training in Shenzhen, the purpose of which is to build up a complex for education with characteristics, a multi – purpose arena providing services for sports industry R & D, an established brand representing Shenzhen’s Massive Health industry.


 The FC Bayern Football School Shenzhen aims at providing all levels of training for youths and workshops and education programs for coaches in Shenzhen.
